1Your surfaces

The starting measurements and 10% extra are an editable example, not an allowance recommendation. Replace them with your project details.

Use metres for dimensions. For an L-shaped room, add each rectangle separately without overlapping. Optional exclusions use m².

2The tile carton

Use the manufacturer's coverage printed on the box or product listing. One estimate uses one tile product.

3Optional budget

Enter final prices in A$. Include tax in the amounts if it applies.

Results update as you type. Your measurements stay in this browser tab; refreshing clears them.

01 / MEASURE

One project, several rectangles

Combine a floor, splashback or wall sections using the same tile. Subtract only areas you know will remain untiled. Keep different tile products in separate estimates.

02 / ALLOW

You choose the extra

An area calculation cannot plan every cut. Patterns, edges and tile size affect how much you need. Set an allowance that suits the actual layout.

03 / ROUND

Count cartons, then cost them

Divide the area including your allowance by coverage per box, and round up to full boxes. Add the price per carton and delivery to compare the tile budget.
